- Rates are stated in US$, rates are subject to change during the islands’ peak periods e.g. Carnival, Easter, World Creole Music Festival/Independence, Christmas/New Years.
- All drivers must be 25 years old and holder of a valid unexpired drivers license, with 2 years minimum driving experience.
- A visitor’s temporary drivers’ permit is required which can be obtained at our office for the cost of US$15:00 – valid for one (1) month.
- The same information/credit card used to complete a reservation must be the same presented at the rental pick-up counter as a form of identification. The information/card presented at pickup will be the card on record for the rental.
- At the time of rental pick-up location rental qualification rules apply. The name on all rental credentials (license and credit card) must match the details on the reservation. If the names do not match, for security purposes the reservation must be cancelled and a new reservation made at prevailing rates.
- At the time of pick up, the driver must present a valid driver’s license and credit card in the driver’s name. A prepaid charge card is not an acceptable credential. Positive identification (Passport) in addition to your driver’s license may be required.
- Credit cards are the preferable form of payment for pre-paid rates unless authorized by management (PayPal or otherwise).
- Payment – We accept all major credit cards. We also do accept CASH. The credit card used to make the reservation will be charged the full amount on the pick-up-date. No refund for early returns.
- Debit cards are not acceptable methods of credit identification to pick up a rented vehicle.
- Your total rental rate is calculated based on the information provided at time of reservation.
- At the time of the rental we will require a credit card hold that is a refundable security deposit of US$1,050.00/EC$2,800.00. The parties agree that the security deposit provided can be used by the Owner in the event of damages and /or loss of Rental vehicle by the renter. The deposit is refunded upon a thorough inspection of the returned vehicle if no damage to the vehicle.
- The customer must pay full price for the rent period before the beginning of the rent, unless otherwise authorized by management.
- To release the car to you at the time of pick-up all rental terms and conditions must be met, regardless of your original prepayment.
- The owner is required to check the condition of the vehicle and ensure that it is safe to use before the rent. The car that the owner provides must be clean with reasonable gas/petrol to get you started.
- All reservations booked may require a non-refundable US$50.00 pre-payment UNLESS one of the following conditions are true during your rental dates: *Your vacation is cancelled due to restriction. *Dominica airport closure due to bad weather. IF your reservation meets one (1) of the criteria above, your options are: Apply the US$00.00 towards any future reservations. *Receive a full refund of US$50.00 pre-payment.
- If you need to cancel 24 hours prior to the scheduled pick-up time, you may cancel, you must submit a request by emailing datropicaljeeprental@gmail.com any time before the 24 hours of your scheduled pick-up time by entering your information.
- If you do not cancel your reservation within 24 hours of the scheduled pick-up time or if you fail to pick up the rental vehicle, a no show fee of US$50.00 will apply.
- If your plans change and you no longer require the rental, you must cancel this reservation via email @ datropicaljeeprental@gmail.com before the scheduled pick up time or the applicable no show fee will apply.
- Vehicles are rented on a daily (24-hour) basis. There is a 1-hour grace period for returns. After 1 hours late, full-day late charges will apply. There is no grace period for rental fees, surcharges and optional equipment or protection charges, so full-day late charges will apply for these items.
- The rental vehicle will, under no circumstances, be subleased. The rented vehicle is only to be used for the purpose of personal and/or business use and that proper maintenance and care will be applied to the rental vehicle. Vehicle should not be used for any illegal activity (drugs), to push or tow any vehicle of other object, use vehicle in any abusive or freckles manner, or by providing misleading information.
- Extensions, late returns or returns to locations other than those previously agreed will result in additional charges
- When returning the vehicle, the customer must return the vehicle in the same good operating condition and with the same amount of gas/petrol as received during rental pick up, to the location on the due date back specified, or sooner upon demand. If returned with less gas/petrol as received the customer will be charged the price to refuel the vehicle.
- It is the responsibility of the customer to return the vehicle at the address the rental vehicle was picked up DURING NORMAL BUSINESS HOURS. Any vehicle returned after normal business hours will be considered to have been returned at the start of the NEXT BUSINESS DAY and any DAMAGES which are found by the rental agent which were not noted at the time of rental will be considered to have been caused by the customer.
- Underpayments will be handled at the counter at time of rental return, and overpayments will be refunded after the rental agreement is closed. All charges are subject to final audit.
- If you fail to return the vehicle as agreed, VJ’s Tropical Jeep Rental will obtain additional authorization from your account to cover additional charges.
- No smoking in rental vehicles. If the smell of any type of smoke is detected a clean up fee may be charged.
- Absolutely NO vehicle of Tropical Jeep Rental may be driven on the beach. Vehicles returned with excess sand or trash will be assessed a US$50 cleaning fee. Excess sand is determined if the rental vehicle has sand on the seats, in cup holders, on the dash, or any other place other than the floor mats. To avoid additional fees, it is recommended that you remove trash out of the vehicle prior to return.
- All accident must be immediately reported to the police (767) 448 2222 and reported to Tropical Jeep Rental within 24 hours
- Customer is responsible for ALL lost/damaged keys, lockout situation, all types of theft or any unlawful taking of the vehicle or third party driver not stated on signed rental agreement contract. Lost keys and/or lockout situations. Lost keys- US$25.00
Liability: The customer undertakes full responsibility if a non insurable event occurs during the period of rent. The customer takes the responsibility for all the consequences that may occur if transferring the car to a third party person not stated on the signed rental agreement contract. If the customer violates the road traffic rules he must pay all related penalties. In case of vehicle theft, lost keys, vandalism, collision damage, gas refill, the customer must compensate for the damage cost, and return the vehicle keys and registration documents to the rental company.
Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) Insurance coverage is optional. If you have travel or credit card insurance, you may not require (CDW). However, if you do not have travel insurance and wish to accept the (CDW) insurance in event of any loss or damage to vehicle at a cost of US$15.00 a day with a deductible /excess of US$2,000.00, OR you may choose to decline the CDW insurance, you will be responsible for the FULL VALUE (or other amount stated) of any loss or damage to the vehicle, including loss of use and related expenses, regales of fault. If a customer accepts the CDW, the customer will not be responsible for such loss or damage.
Customers may obtain Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) insurance at US$12.00 per day. CDW does not cover damage to undercarriage, rims, and tyres, or damages caused by running off the road. CDW applies only in the event of a collision with another vehicle the renter is required to pay the full cost of the damages on the value of the vehicles
I have read, understood and agreed to be bound by the terms and conditions on both sides of this rental agreement.
